Otis E. McCutcheon collection.

This collection consists of three drafts of a memoir, written by Otis E. McCutcheon. While the memoirs dates ca. 1845 until 1924, the transcript of the memoir appears to have been created between the years 1918 and 1924. One of the drafts gives the title, Life of Otis Eddy McCutcheon by himself. The account of his boyhood is particularly interesting because it documents rural life near the town of Albion, Mich. before the Civil War. The memoir also documents Mich. politics and life in Lansing for the years ca. 1878-1886.
